Greenville LRD Application
Matthew O Connell is lodging a Large Residential Development ( LRD) Planning Application to Kerry County Council with the aim of creating a 102 Unit Mixed Residential Development, at a low density of 31 Units / Hectare (12.5 units/acre) on a unique 3.3 Hectare site located at Greenville Road, Islandganniv, Listowel, Co.Kerry.
Creative Redevelopment of an Urban Brownfield Unfinished Estate:
We propose a creative reuse and re-development of an urban brownfield unfinished estate previously granted permission within the Listowel Urban Area.
New Urban Residential Estate for Listowel:
The proposal is to create a New Urban Residential Estate for Listowel, with a mix of semi-detached housing and more medium-density terrace housing + Apartments providing affordable housing to the north. The development with 5 Parks and circa 55% open green space and private amenities will provide a very attractive Parkland setting which prioritizes pedestrian use in an attractive enhanced manner, with permeable pedestrian and cycle links.
The “Revised Layout” shows roads and buildings on the northern edge of the site being setback 30m-40m to create a “Wild Native Landscaped Park” to act as a visual, traffic noise & landscape screen and buffer to the new Link Road and watercourse, with enhanced bio-diversity+ amenity.
New Listowel Link Road & Bridge:
The nearly completed New Listowel Link & Bridge Road, is a very welcome development and affords excellent access to the proposed development away from the congested main Listowel central business area.
